North Dakota Lemon Laws - Passenger motor vehicles and trucks 10,000 pounds or lighter that are normally used for personal, family or household purposes are covered under North Dakota’s section 51-07-16. The vehicle must have been sold in North Dakota. RVs and motorcycles are not covered. Owners are required to make their case before the express warranty runs out, or within a year, whichever comes first. After 3 repair attempts or 30 business days out of service the owner can claim lemon status.
