South Carolina

South Carolina Lemon Laws – South Carolina lemon laws are very specific in what kinds of vehicles are covered. Cars, trailers, and semi-trailers that are registered in South Carolina are covered. But, if they are used to transport people for money (Except schools or churches) they are not covered. Motorcycles, living areas of RVs, trucks over 5,000 pounds, and off-road vehicles are not covered as written in section 56-3-630. The vehicle must have had 3 repair attempts, or 30 calendar days out of service to be called a “lemon”.
