Vermont Lemon Laws – Part 6 of section 4171 explains that a vehicle bought and registered in the state is covered by the state’s lemon laws. This law excludes tractors, building equipment, off-road vehicles, and any vehicle over 10,000 pounds. The living portions of motor homes are also excluded. Owners only have until the car’s express warranty expires before they can make a lemon law claim. After 3 repair attempts or 30 days out of service, the vehicle can be classified as a lemon.
